At the beginning of the month of May, I have to be honest, I was sensing such a strong feeling of a ‘mayday’ warning, like the radio distress signal used by ships and aircraft. I honestly do not know what was happening in the spiritual realm. All I know is that I was mandated to do some additional prayer times with the Lord. I had asked the Lord months ago for the spirit of travail and to feel what was heavy on His heart. All I can say is the manifestation began happening as I committed to more prayer.
I began to inquire of the Lord on when the heaviness would lift off me because I physically felt the weight of it. Several scriptures came to mind. Psalm 126:5, “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.” Also, Hebrews 12:2, “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
The Lord impressed upon me to be encouraged because He paved the way for us to get results from our prayers, and that the beauty of His death was the resurrection. The situations and lives that we are entrusted to pray for have an expected outcome, the glory of the Lord and His divine purposes, His resurrection life for each travail. I remember hearing prayer warriors talk about praying through until you get the release. I finally started to experience the release in some areas and I was able to rejoice in the Lord knowing that He was working behind the scenes, making crooked paths straight, healing wounds, embracing loved ones, protecting souls from harm, restoring families and sending in the reinforcements to help just at the right time. This call to pray and partner with the Lord and each other is such a privilege and honor. I recalled a question asked by Derek Prince in his book, “Secrets of a Prayer Warrior.” He asked, “Who do you consider to be the most influential people on earth?” His answer was “the most influential people on earth today are those who know how to get their prayers answered. This is because they can release the omnipotence of God into situations, which goes far beyond anything that the wisest or most powerful human being can do.”
I pray that in your seasons of prayer, no matter what that season brings, you will have a clear and passionate mission, knowing that the call that has been placed upon you is not only making tremendous power available, it is literally changing the course of history for you, your families, our nation and our world!
The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you, the Lord turn His face towards you and give you peace.
